We know those of you that entered have been waiting to know who closed the case and we'd like to congratulate:
Jose Huerta aka Sheriff on his win!
Sheriff was the winner of our drawing to win the mini-rock crawler!
Thanks to everyone who participates in our contests every month, we appreciate all of you!
We've got an awesome contest for May that will make you famous (well sort of)... you'll at least end up in R/C Car Magazine in our Hobzob ad--we'd like to give major props to Kuppler for giving us the idea for the next contest--it's going to be one of the coolest contests yet!
Thanks again Hobzobbers!

Because we have an awesome Losi Crawler sitting in our office that needs a new home...unless you all think we should keep it and have our own fun! ;) But seriously, it's an awesome prize and we want everyone to have the chance to snag it!
It's really easy to win too. All you have to do is go to:
http://contests.hobzob.com, download the scavenger hunt, fill it out (15 easy questions) and send it to:
katlynnd@hobzob.com
That's it. That's all you have to do, it takes 20 minutes to find the answers to our questions and then you have a chance at winning a Losi Rock Crawler!! Once you submit your answers, we'll hold a drawing with everyone who got the answers right.
So what are you waiting for?
Have you closed the case?

Calling all Serious Hobzobbers: Hobzob Managers
Apr 6, 2010 | Views: 1,181
We're calling all serious Hobzobbers to become Hobzob Managers!
Here's how it works:
Every Hobzob Manager starts out as a level one manager with 100 business cards. Your goal is to recruit 25-30 people/month to the site. You do this by handing out your cards, going to various hobby events and promoting the site and any other way you can think of. Each month we pick the top managers from each level to give awards to (serious and funny ones) and the overall top manager for the quarter (three months) wins a prize. So if you haven’t figured it out already, it’s the most beneficial to you to be the top manager each month because then you’ve got a sweet prize in the bag every three months. After you’ve been in the top 10% of your manager level for six months, you will be bumped up to the next manager level and receive more business cards. This means that you’ll have more criteria to meet and bigger goals—but the prizes get that much cooler. After you move up from a level one manager, you can begin recruiting your own managers. New managers that you recruit are referred to Katlynn (katlynnd@hobbytown.com) and start off just like you did; they’re automatically in the running for prizes as well. If you are in the bottom percentile of your manager level for two consecutive months, you get bumped back down to the level below your current manager level. We highly recommend and encourage you to use the Hobzob Manager’s group on Hobzob (www.hobzob.com/managers) and our Twitter account (@hobzobmanagers) to do all the smack talking and sharing you can; just remember to respect your fellow managers—this is meant to be fun, not mean-spirited. The more you do, the more you get out of the deal.
The prizes are awesome ranging from season box sets of your favorite TV show to PS3's.
The whole goal is to bring more friends to our site so we have even more people to share our hobbies with. We've been scheming here in our office for a long time about how to tell people about our site and then we realized: Who better to spread the word about our site, than the awesome people that are already on it (that's you)?!
So here's our offer: If you're willing to help spread the word about Hobzob on a regular basis (because it will take some extra elbow grease), we want to hear from you. All you have to do is send us a message and we'll help you get started. We'll send some business cards your way and give you advice on how to get people to sign-up. We have our own group here on the site that we use to give you weekly updates and we're always available to help you out. We want our community to grow so you have more people to share ideas, pics, videos and comepte against on the site. Our goal is to make Hobzob as fun and interesting for you as we can--but really, you are the expert and we couldn't do what we do without you, so we want your help!
Hobzobbers unite!

Close the Case: a Hobzob Hunt; April's Contest

Here's how this month's contest works:
You go to the Official Contest group (http://contests.hobzob.com/) and under the "file share" section on the left side of your screen, you can dowload a PDF document or a Microsoft 2007 document with all the questions on it. You have to be a member to download the document, so if you're not, request to join our group! Once you dowload the document, answer all the questions.
Once you've answered the questions, send your finished scavenger hunt to: katlynnd@hobzob.com
You have until April 15th to submit your answers. Once all of the submitted scavenger hunts have been checked, those with all the correct answers will be put in a random drawing for our awesome prize:
A 1/18 Mini-Rock Crawler RTR from Losi!
On April 19th we will post a list of everyone who made it into the final drawing. The drawing will be held on April 20th.
So close the case and solve the Hobzob hunt! Download your scavenger hunt and get started!
