Losi's new Matt Francis Edition XXX-T comes loaded with a full complement of goodies that the racing champ himself has effectively used against his competition for almost a year now. No need to spend any extra money in upgrade options, this kit has it all.
The most noticeable departure from the stock XXX-T is the extensive use of strong, lightweight graphite/composite material throughout the chassis. Other components (besides the chassis itself) that now benefit from this material include the shock towers, front bulkhead, kickplate, rear pivot plate, suspension arms, battery strap, and a steering brace. This not only has made the chassis lighter but considerably more rigid. The added stiffness gives this special edition XXX-T a more precise feel because there is less chassis flex.
The Matt Francis XXX-T boasts one of the toughest and most dependable suspensions available. Titanium turnbuckles that are stronger and lighter than stock ensure precise steering, no matter how tough the terrain. The titanium nitride-coated shock shafts minimize O-ring drag and resist wear from dirt and debris. Threaded shock bodies and revised springs provide a limitless number of tuning possibilities. Simply turning the shock adjuster nut on the threaded body allows you to precisely adjust the preload and ride height. The drivetrain is practically bulletproof, thanks to the adjustable slipper, the machined aluminum hard-coated top shaft and gear, as well as the MIP CVDs.
Losi has molded the bumper, motor guard, front body mounts, rod ends, and wheels in bright red to further set the Matt Francis XXX-T apart from the pack. Even the motor plate and front axles are anodized red. Red compound eight-rib front tires are complemented by red compound T-2000 tires in the rear. A fantastic looking “Fury” truck body, along with special edition decals further under-score the exceptional performance this truck offers.
If Matt Francis’s success with his XXX-T is any indication, this special edition bearing his name should give experienced racers everywhere the edge they need to win. In fact, the truck comes with tuning tips from the man himself, so racers can get the most from all this “preemo” equipment.
